These ogranisations work with Climate Witness to highlight climate change impacts in different parts of the world. These organisations are also involved solutions such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions and helping communities and ecosystems adapt to climate change.

Climate Witnesses

Project AWARE

Project AWARE partners with CoralWatch, a nonprofit research organisation from the University of Queensland, Australia, to involve divers and snorkelers in monitoring coral bleaching and assessment of coral health. The aim of CoralWatch is to provide a scientific tool for monitoring coral health and increase awareness about climate change by demonstrating its devastating effect on coral reefs around the world.
Eco Everest Expedition

Eco Everest

Eco Everest 2008 is unique in the way it combines mountaineering with scientific research. The expedition climbed Mount Everest in spring 2008, and in parallel scientific research was conducted on glacial lakes and melting glaciers. The initiative aims at raising awareness on the impact of climate change in the Himalayas.
American Alpine Club

American Alpine Club

The American Alpine Club (AAC) unites and inspires the climbing community to advance the climbing way of life, with a focus on knowledge, conservation, advocacy and logistical support. AAC has been involved in highlighting the impacts of climate change on mountain environment and recently held an event called Climbatology where prominent mountaineers presented on the changes they are witnessing and documenting.
Sandwatch

Sandwatch & Nevis Historical & Conservation Society

Sandwatch seeks to modify the lifestyle and habits of children, youth and adults on a community-wide basis and to develop awareness of the fragile nature of the marine and coastal environment and the need to use it wisely. Climate Witness has been working closely with the Sandwatch Project in Nevis & St Kitts in the Caribbean (via the Nevis Historical & Conservation Society) to document the climate change impacts in the region.

Global Call to Action against Poverty

The Global Call to Action against Poverty (GCAP) is a growing alliance of trade unions, community groups, faith groups, women and youth organisations, NGOs and other campaigners working together across more than 100 national platforms. GCAP is calling for action from the world’s leaders to meet their promises to end poverty and inequality.
