Eve Stevens, Canada

This past winter has been the coldest I have ever lived through. Spring was cold. My forsythia which blooms over snow cover bloomed at the end of May. My lilac which blooms in April, bloomed in June. The humingbirds who arrive in may, showed up in June.

Roberto Gardella, Italy

My story is very simple and regards the glacier melt down on Italian Alps. I can easily remember when I was a little child and went in the Alps with my parents and the glaciers were huge and fantastic! They used to tell me they were perpetual but now, after 25 years I know it's not real. I saw glaciers are melting down, retiring for hundreds of meters. What are we doing to our mother earth?

Charlotte Bakker, Netherlands

The climate in Holland is changing very fast. We do have milder winters and warmer summers. In former times-from 1940 till late 60's, winters were more severe here with much more snow. Now winters are so mild that you can walk in a shirt outside. The autumn is sometimes so warm that it is called here the Dutch sister of the Indian Summer (autumn in the USA).

The Connecticut shoreline gets jellyfish in the Long Island Sound when the warm waters come in late summer. I've experienced this every summer since infancy. Well, this year is a little different. Last weekend, the beach was covered in jellyfish — a month early. They've continued to troll the shoreline this week, making swimming with two young kids near impossible. Talk about changing the dynamic of our July beach vacation!

Lee Buckner – Unpredictable seasons impact traditions in southern US

I have planted a garden every year since about 1980. When to plant is now pure luck. The plants are in a race to produce in a much shorter time that is upset by flooding, droughts, extreme temperatures, and insects.
