Fishing for the Future

With the decline of the blue crab fisheries of Chesapeake Bay on the US Atlantic coast, the growing demand for this delicacy has turned to the Philippines. To increase the supply local fishers have been turning to more indiscriminate methods such as botton trawling and dynamite fishing. WWF is encouraging the fishers to make their trade sustainable by introducing MSC certification.
