One Planet Leaders programme details
How is the programme delivered?
You attend three two-day workshops, one for each month of the programme. Throughout the programme, we will support your online learning, which takes around four hours a week and is flexible to fit around your work commitments.Tailored learning
Your course tutors will tailor the learning so that it is highly relevant to your situation and maximises the value to your organisation. We encourage you to build teams within your organisation who can share in your exploration and support the implementation of your action points.Accreditation and continued learning
You will have the opportunity to use the programme to complete the 'One Planet Leaders' pathway with University of Exeter in the UK (subject to approval). This is an option within the MSc Sustainable Development and will be undertaken through distance learning. Completion of the One Planet Leaders pathway will achieve 60 credits, providing a Postgraduate Certificate in sustainable development (1/3 of a Masters). The programme is structured in an innovative three-phase approach:

| An initial two-day workshop starts the Explore phase which defines sustainability and examines the key issues facing businesses. A range of expert speakers provide input on issues such as: ‘the business case for sustainability’, ‘implications of cradle to cradle thinking’, and ‘transformation for sustainability’. The workshop is followed up by flexible learning and on-line collaboration where participants explore the natural world, social impacts and externalities, human and social systems, and the role of sustainable business. | The Challenge phase uses the learnings from your exploration to refine your thinking on sustainable business models. You’ll benefit from the input of a network of experts from a wide range of disciplines, including those who will answer your questions and provoke discussion on-line. Through creative exercises and group work you’ll start to develop your own strategic business responses. | Using a unique set of management tools you will analyse your current business activity and develop bespoke strategies for change which are both achievable and realistic for your company. Ongoing support To support the implementation of action plans, participants will have access to a 100-day review with course tutors following completion of the programme. They will also have continued access to an on-line community to review and discuss experiences with fellow programme participants. |

In addition to 3 two-day workshops, participants will devote a minimum of 4 hours per week over a 3-month period to fulfill programme requirements.
Program fee
€10,000 per participant. This includes all expert input, on-line support and materials (travel and accommodation not included).
