Working together to highlight the impacts of climate change
Featured partner
Project AWARE / CoralWatch
Project AWARE partners with CoralWatch, a nonprofit research organisation from the University of Queensland, Australia, to involve divers and snorkelers in monitoring coral bleaching and assessment of coral health. The aim of CoralWatch is to provide a scientific tool for monitoring coral health and increase awareness about climate change by demonstrating its devastating effect on coral reefs around the world. Project AWARE volunteers use a special chart to compare colours of corals with colours on the chart and record their findings.
Project AWARE will recruit two Climate Witnesses who will provide testimonies about the impact of climate change on coral reefs.

If so, we are very interested in talking to you about a partnership to highlight the climate change impacts that your members and stakeholders are witnessing.
Examples of some of the types of organisations that we could partner with are: mountaineers, divers, photographers, naturalists, phenologists, landcare groups, lifesavers/surf patrol, bird watchers, ski clubs, and tour operators.
What is involved in becoming a partner?
Our collaboration can take many different forms, but ideally it will be a way for you to promote Climate Witness and a way for us to promote your organisation and the work that you are doing. We can do this on our websites and through any publications and newsletters.
As a partner you would be required to recruit at least one Climate Witness who can provide a strong story about the climate impacts and any work to address the solutions.
If you are interested please contact Nigel Allan, communications manager of Climate Witness: nallan [at] wwf [dot] org [dot] au or fill in the form below.
