Stinky in the stink?
There's been quite a bit of fuss over me. In fact, I seem to have stirred up quite a stink! If this is all news to you, you can check out my response, but let me also share with you what some folks have been saying about "Stinkygate."
Apparently my name is not all that popular….
"...we are concerned at the very title of 'Stinky Fish', which revisits an obsolete perception of our progressive industry."
And I’ve been accused of being none too clever.
"Stinky Fish is dumb”
C’mon, give me a break, I'm a fish out of water so I have to think on my fins!
There's even a poll asking "Is Stinky smart?" ...But you have to sign-up to see all the rumpus on there.
I’ve also picked up some emails, and it looks like some of you think I’m no friend of ocean-friendy seafood.
"it is clear that you aren't interested in supporting sustainably caught fish for health and nutrition; you are trying to end the consumption of wild seafood forever, period."
Nothing could be further from the truth!
I’m sustainable seafood's number 1 fan. You can see my responses to all of this here
Seems folks are confused. What I'm all about is telling fish eaters:
1) how they should support the good guys fishing responsibly, and
2) enjoy sustainable seafood
But I've also got to spread the word about the what's really going in our oceans, 'cause the fact is that more than 70% of the world's commercial marine fish stocks are in deep deep trouble - so there's still a lot of work to do to get seafood that's good for you and the oceans on your plate.
Fortunately I seem to have a few fans out there.

So let's get on with things, click through my site and find out how you can choose seafood that's good for you and the oceans.
Stinky speaks!

Why don’t you help smarten me up!

Let's get talking about our oceans and how good fishing and sustainable seafood can save ‘em from destruction.
