How you can help

Equipment
The WWF West African Marine Ecoregion (WAMER) team are lacking some equipment that would assist them in their work. If you can help in supplying any of the following, please contact the WAMER office by telephone on +221 869 37 00 :

1. An overhead projector
2. A television and video set to be used in awareness campaigns on the ground, in particular in communicating with the local fishing communities.

Other ways to help
An original way to help would be to lobby your home town or village in Europe or North America to establish a twinning with a Senegalese village that is key for WWF's work, such as Kayar. For a list of villages, please phone the WWF WAMER Office on +221 869 37 00

You should also join Panda Passport, which has conducted many campaigns on the EU's fishing agreements in this ecoregion.

Donate

Last, but not least, you can always help WWF's work by donating or becoming a member. Your support is vital if WWF is to have the capacity to establish projects in corners of the world which are often overlooked because they are often not as "glamorous" as other conservation projects, but where the work is no less vital if we are to conserve the diversity and abundance of life on our planet.
