Barthélemy ONDOUA, Forest Technician
Barthelemy is a holder of an under graduate diploma in forestry with close to 8 years of professional experience in the sustainable management of forest resources in Cameroon. He has a strong experience in the domain of sustainable forest management notably the acquisition and management of community forests, forest planning and forest inventories.
Barthelemy is one those who contributed to the acquisition and the management of the Kompia community forest, one of the first community forests in Cameroon. Before becoming a full time staff of WWF, Barthelemy had worked in two field projects; one financed by the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) and the other by WWF. Both projects were aimed at improving the livelihood of forest communities through a sustainable management of forest resources
Since March 2OO7, Barthelemy ONDOUA is Forest Officer at the WWF Kudu-Zombo Programme being implemented in the Campo-Ma’an landscape. His main duty is to assist (technically) local communities in the process of acquisition and management of community forests.
His strength lies in his ability to adapt to new situations and his desire to face new challenges.
