Samuel BATE, the Accountant

Samuel BATE is one of the oldest serving staff at the WWF Kudu-Zombo Programme in Campo. Before being posted to Campo as accountant in December 2004, he had served in the same capacity in the Korup Project in the south-west of Cameroon. Prior to his recruitment by WWF, Samuel had worked for over seven years still at the Korup Project but under the banner of the European Union. He is a holder of a national and a higher diploma in accounting from Polytechnic Aba, Abia State in Nigeria. Some of his main duties include; monitoring the Bank account opened to receive funds in the name of the Programme, establishing and implementing appropriate accounting and management procedures for the Programme as a whole, including appropriate procedures for procurement and stock control of supplies and materials and appropriate procedures for personnel accounting, balancing the Programme’s accounts and reporting current financial status to the Donor.
