WWF has a gold mine of activities in this area and all we need is the motivation and support.

Naturally I am a people person", blurts out O'kah in impeccable English that confirms his years of studies in Britain.

He is one of the pivots of the Coastal Forest Programme and occupies the position of Programme Officer. This means he coordinates the different unit heads, prioritises activities, ensures partnerships and brands WWF work in the area. Originally a wildlife biologist, O'kah's experiences on the ground led him towards community issues.

O'kah's experiences began in 1994 when he began working in the sustainable wildlife component of the DFID Mount Cameroon Project and then with the Mount Kupe Forest Project with Birdlife International. During this time he actually got round to developing local groups into participatory management units around the Kupe Muanenguba area.
