I raise people’s awareness and help them become part of the conservation process.
What do you like?
I love the bond with communities and sharing a view that they may not have had before to make their lives better.
What do you dislike?
The terrible roads we travel on.
How did you get involved in conservation?
I’ve been working with communities since 1995. When I heard there was work looking at communities and elephant conservation, I jumped at it. Communities and conservation are two sides of the same coin and I wanted to see how I could use my experience.
What are your hopes for the future?
I am very optimistic. There is a long way to go but we will be able to bring about change, reclaim the forest and do enough to make things better.
