Responsible Mining

WWF strongly advocates responsible mining practices for balanced growth in Mongolia.

Responsible mining, using internationally accepted best practice, has the potential to minimize environmental damage, improving social responsibility and increasing economic return to livelihood of Mongolian people.

In partnership with decision makers, mining investors and local communities, WWF-Mongolia will:

• push for the introduction of environmentally sound technologies;
• compliance with national laws and regulations; and
• respect and understanding for the value of Mongolia’s unique freshwater ecosystem.
