Overseeing all the activities of the TAL programme

Anil Manandhar works as the Conservation Program Director, which means that his job is to oversee the planning, development, implementation, and management of programs, fund raising, grant budgets and fund disbursement as well as coordination of WWF Nepal's activities at national and international level.

"Before joining WWF, I worked as the Coordinator and later as the Technical Director for the Northern Mountains Conservation Project, as well as in the Sagarmatha Community Agro Forestry Project", he says.

"Later on, I worked as the Technical Director of the Bardia Integrated Conservation Project, and in the Western Terai Tiger Rhino and Elephant Conservation Complex."

Born in the capital Kathmandu and belonging to the ethnic Newar group, Anil did his master's degree in forestry and has a long experience in working with natural resource management.

He has also worked for United Nations and for King Mahedra Trust for Nature Conservation. Now, in WWF, he is responsible for overseeing all the activities of the TAL programme.
