Bystroe Canal: Ukraine contravening Espoo Convention
In proceeding with its construction of the Bystroye Canal, Ukraine is not meeting the obligations it has taken upon itself in connection with the Espoo Convention – this is the finding of the Convention’s Implementation Committee, which will be presented to the fourth Conference of the Parties of the Espoo Convention on May 19-21, 2008 in Bucuresti.
