About the country
Venezuela is a multicoloured range of places, peoples, ideas, and rich biodiversity. It has a mix population of Europeans, Natives, and Blacks, which together make up a population of 24 million.
Venezuela is a country of cultural and geographical diversity. Few nations are blessed with so much beauty and variation. Venezuela includes 11 internationally important ecoregions, from heavenly beaches, high Andean mountains, and endless plains to thick jungles, deserts, and amazing tablelands.
These landscapes supports an entire system of fauna and flora, of which many are unique, but are endangered due to the destruction of their habitats.Threats
The environmental problems now facing Venezuela are a result of a lack of awareness on behalf of the population and the the State, which imposes a development model that particularly affects areas of high fragility and ecological value.
For this reason, since 1975, FUDENA's efforts have been directed towards the conservation of natural resources and the environment by conservation of biological riches and the promotion of sustainable development.
