WWF in Venezuela

The Marine Coastal program is aimed at promoting the conservation of biodiversity and priority ecological processes in marine coastal areas in Venezuela.

This program includes important projects such as World Beach Day, which involves the monitoring of trash on the country's coasts.

It is the Venezuelan adaptation of the International Coastal Cleanup, which has been carried out since 1991 with the support of local private companies and The Ocean Conservancy.

Another important project is the Eastern Coast of Falcon State, which involves environmental education, community participation, management and better use of sustainable resources in two important protected areas: National Morrocoy Park, and the Cuare Wildlife Refuge.
