Where does the money go?

Only 9% of all money given to WWF goes on administration costs. The rest is channeled into developing, driving and delivering conservation results. In the US, WWF has received the highest 4-star rating from Charity Navigator.

What we've achieved

  • Over 1 billion km2 of forest protected since 2002
  • 500 parks and reserves protected
  • Over 145,000 km2 of marine areas protected since 1997
  • Initiated Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)
  • Initiated Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)

Why donate to WWF?

Because we're in the business of saving our one and only planet.

And yes - that's a dramatic, grandiose and a possibly pompous statement.

But at its core essence, it is in fact true. We like the planet we have. We love the life that lives on it. And we want to make sure that it's there for you to see next year, and in 5 years, and 10, and for your children... and for your grandchildren.

We're going to...

...stop the degradation of the planet's natural environment.

And we want to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature, by:

  • conserving the world's biological diversity
  • ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable
  • promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption.

How do you save a Planet?

WWF has a long-term scientific plan that maps out how, where and what it will do to successfully achieve its mission.

In this plan are specific goals and approaches for maintaining this astounding diversity of life while reducing the pressure that we humans place on it. Can it be done? Yes. Emphatically  YES! But only if we act now, and only if we have your help.
