Become an online activist with WWF Passport and take action to support WWF’s conservation work around the world.

Get the traffic moving
Call for car pool lanes on local routes – reduce congestion and reduce the number of cars on the road.

Write your politicians
Don’t be afraid to write to your local and national politicians, demanding that they do more to protect the environment

Tell businesses you care
Write to companies, urging them to promote sustainable and environmentally sound business practices. Customers and shareholders increasingly want to know whether a company demonstrates a real commitment to the principles of sustainability and are prepared to adopt challenging targets for change. Although corporations are sometimes part of the problem, they are also undoubtedly part of the solution.

Join forces
There are many organizations now attempting to create a more environmentally sustainable future. Find out what people are doing in your local community, education system or within local government.

Make sure new buildings are fit for the future
Lobby your local government to introduce regulations for new buildings which support the development of green buildings, taking advantage of renewable energy sources, natural light, etc. Many cities in the US have already introduced green building ordinances that rates new construction projects according to their environmental impact.

Spread the word
Convince a climate change sceptic – face-to-face, on radio or television via the media.
