The Regional GAA Senior Officer will formulate and revise periodically WWF GAA strategy in Central Africa to implement its strategic approach called the “Green Heart of Africa Network Initiative” (GHoA), coordinate approaches to major donors and their representatives in the sub-region with CARPO staff and the WWF Network, ensuring the coherence of policy and funding dialogues with GAA donors, ensuring that funding proposals are both rigorous and relevant to donors and the GHoA conservation plan and that GAA contracts are properly complied with and fulfilled.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Regional GAA Senior Officer is the main point of contact between GHoA and other WWF Network GAA Focal Points. He/She will :&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Duties and Responsibilities:&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
1. Develop and support the implementation of the GHoA GAA strategy:
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Work with GHoA NI team and CARPO’s Country Programme Offices, national governments and other partners to design, implement and revise periodically regional and national GAA strategies to support the GHoA conservation plan;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;In close collaboration with the CARPO Regional Representative, National Country Coordinators/National GAA Liaison Officers and NI Leader, coordinate policy and funding dialogues with local representation offices of GAA;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Maintain regular policy and funding dialogue and develop joint work programmes with WWF Network GAA Focal Points on GAA regional/national issues, funding opportunities and areas of cooperation in support of the implementation of the GHoA and Governments’ regional/national priorities;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Provide and/or coordinate training and assistance on all aspects of GAA partnerships (relationship management, project and proposal development, project implementation, trouble shooting and adaptive management, monitoring and evaluation) to colleagues in CARPO.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2. Coordinate and ensure quality control on GAA proposal development:
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Promote and coordinate proposal development and submission that adhere to the GAA standards and priorities, in close consultation with WWF Network GAA Focal Points;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Coordinate with programme staff, local GAA representations and WWF Network GAA Focal Points to submit proposals and negotiate contracts;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Promote and encourage cost recovery for WWF recipients to the extent possible from the GAA donor.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
3. Advise on ensuring quality delivery on GAA contracts.
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Work with CARPO colleagues to monitor GAA projects performance and effective dialogue with local GAA representation in relation to GAA contracts;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Provide reports on progress on GAA contract delivery to GHoA management and WWF Network GAA Focal Points;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;As necessary, identify and find appropriate ways to resolve any major risks to the WWF’s credibility that may arise from execution of GAA contracts, in close collaboration with GHoA management, CARPO team and WWF Network.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
4. Take on other duties as requested by the WWF-CARPO and GHoA NI Leader.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Profile:&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;u&gt;Knowledge&lt;/u&gt;: A minimum of MSc or MA in law, business, natural resources management, international relations, biological sciences, and related field experience. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;u&gt;Experience: &lt;/u&gt;Solid experience in conservation-related program development and management, fundraising, and capacity building is essential. At least 8 years’ experience in the development field or with institutional donors with experience of policy, funding instruments and contract administration and public relations are required with experience in the use of computers essential.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;u&gt;Skills and Abilities:&lt;/u&gt; Good technical, organizational, interpersonal and team-building skills essential; ability to work effectively with a wide variety of partners and disciplines. Diplomatic and multi-cultural skills, especially in the African context; ability to prepare large project proposals to bilateral and multilateral agencies. Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English.&lt;br /&gt;

				<description>The Leader will have the unique opportunity to oversee the implementation of an ambitious global initiative that will significantly influence tiger conservation in almost every tiger range country, and at every level from local to global over the next 10-15 years. &lt;br /&gt;

The Tiger Initiative’s vision is, “Tigers will thrive in viable wild populations in priority landscapes, and in restored, interconnected habitats, secure from the threats to their survival and coexisting with local communities.” &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In order to achieve this vision, the Leader will help WWF assemble its resources around tiger conservation in 13 priority landscapes through identifying and transforming the root causes of poaching, habitat destruction and human-tiger conflict. The initiative will also address issues related to policies, sustainable finance and illegal tiger trade. This is the type of comprehensive plan that will empower WWF to help tip the trajectory of wild tigers to a path of range-wide recovery.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Leader will be based at WWF Malaysia, and will manage a core team based in Asia, in coordination with the respective range country WWF offices. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
More specifically, s/he will direct and coordinate the human, technical and financial resources throughout the WWF Network; mobilise transformational actions by key businesses and industries; influence governments, NGOs, and other partners; act as an ambassador for WWF’s tiger conservation work; generate funds; work with other leaders in the WWF Network to identify and combat emerging threats to tigers; and, seize new opportunities that will contribute to the lasting conservation of tigers and their habitats. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;The Leader will require:&lt;/b&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;An advanced degree in conservation, natural sciences, management, international development / international policy or a relevant field&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Technical proficiency and/or extensive experience in the field of conservation, natural-resource management or international development&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;At least 10 years professional experience in a leadership role, with demonstrated success in managing multi-disciplinary teams and multiple donor budgets&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Demonstrated passion for conservation&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Credibility in Asian conservation circles with excellent knowledge of conservation&lt;/li&gt;

WWF Austria’s work on commodities aims to generate a growing demand for sustainably used natural resources through engagement with industry that will motivate producers to adopt environmentally and socially responsible practices, including the protection of areas with high conservation value.&lt;br /&gt;
The two focal commodities are soy as animal feed and fish/seafood.&lt;br /&gt;

The Sustainability Officer will contribute to WWF’s engagement with the animal feed and fish/seafood sectors with an aim of motivating companies to achieve sustainability in their supply chains. The incumbent will be responsible for planning and developing partnerships and projects with companies to ensure the sustainable use of these commodities. A key role will be to identify funding opportunities to finance WWF Austria&#xb4;s work in this sector and to support conservation efforts in globally important areas where these industries are operating. &lt;br /&gt;

&lt;b&gt;Minimum qualifications&lt;/b&gt;

• Coordonner les activit&#xe9;s communautaires en collaboration avec Pact. &lt;br/&gt;
• Contribuer au renforcement de la collaboration entre les agents de l’ICCN et la population locale en impliquant cette derni&#xe8;re dans les travaux de terrain. &lt;br/&gt;
• Collecter les informations sur les r&#xe9;seaux de braconnage actifs dans le PNS. &lt;br/&gt;
• Appuyer le Chef de Station de Mundja dans la planification des patrouilles et de certaines op&#xe9;rations pratiques de lutte anti braconnage. &lt;br/&gt;
• D&#xe9;velopper et/ou mettre en œuvre la strat&#xe9;gie pour l’&#xe9;limination des camps des braconniers dans le parc et ses alentours. &lt;br/&gt;
• S’assurer de la bonne maintenance et du bon fonctionnement des mat&#xe9;riels et &#xe9;quipements affect&#xe9;s au fonctionnement des activit&#xe9;s du programme. &lt;br/&gt;

				<description>&lt;p&gt;LES MISSIONS : &lt;br/&gt;
- Coordonner l’ensemble des interventions et des moyens du WWF dans les collectivit&#xe9;s fran&#xe7;aises d’outre-mer, notamment le budget et le plan de communication, avec l’appui des p&#xf4;les th&#xe9;matiques (eau douce, for&#xea;t, oc&#xe9;ans et c&#xf4;tes…) et des d&#xe9;partements concern&#xe9;s ; &lt;br/&gt;
- Renforcer et g&#xe9;rer les moyens humains et financiers du WWF-France en Guyane et en Nouvelle-Cal&#xe9;donie (7 personnes), notamment dans la planification strat&#xe9;gique et la recherche de fonds ; Optimiser les relations entre les bureaux d&#xe9;localis&#xe9;s et les diff&#xe9;rents services du si&#xe8;ge. &lt;br/&gt;
- D&#xe9;velopper et mettre en œuvre directement des initiatives partenariales d’envergure nationale de sensibilisation et de mobilisation du public (citoyens, &#xe9;lus, administrations, associations…) en faveur de la biodiversit&#xe9; Outre-mer. Une priorit&#xe9; sera donn&#xe9;e &#xe0; la capitalisation des acquis obtenus depuis 10 ans ; &lt;br/&gt;
- D&#xe9;velopper les relations aupr&#xe8;s des diff&#xe9;rents acteurs, notamment influencer les d&#xe9;cideurs nationaux pour une meilleure prise en compte de la biodiversit&#xe9; dans les politiques publiques et strat&#xe9;gies priv&#xe9;es Outre-mer. &lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;
LE (LA) CANDIDAT(E) : &lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;
Formation/Connaissances : &lt;br/&gt;
- Formation Bac + 5 &#xe9;cole d’ing&#xe9;nieur ou universit&#xe9; en sciences naturelles &lt;br/&gt;
- Connaissance des probl&#xe9;matiques biodiversit&#xe9;, r&#xe9;seaux des acteurs locaux et nationaux de l’Outre-Mer fran&#xe7;ais &lt;br/&gt;
- Connaissance approfondie de l’anglais, espagnol souhait&#xe9; &lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;
Exp&#xe9;rience : &lt;br/&gt;
- Minimum 5 ans d’exp&#xe9;rience terrain : gestion de programmes de conservation &lt;br/&gt;
- Minimum 5 ans d’exp&#xe9;rience en gestion d’&#xe9;quipe (minimum 5 personnes) &lt;br/&gt;
- Montage de projets et en recherche de fonds &lt;br/&gt;
- Gestion administrative &lt;br/&gt;
- Gestion de relations avec les partenaires institutionnels (administration centrale, collectivit&#xe9;s locales, etc…) &lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;

- Bonne ma&#xee;trise des probl&#xe9;matiques de biodiversit&#xe9;, en particulier dans l’Outre-Mer &lt;br/&gt;
