Indochinese tiger - Population & Distribution

Current Population & Distribution
Indochinese tigers are found in remote forests in hilly to mountainous terrain mostly along the borders of their range states. Most are found in Thailand, but they are also found in Myanmar, southern China, Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Vietnam.

Due to restricted access to these border areas, relatively little is known about the status of Indochinese tigers. The subspecies is thought to number 700-1,225 individuals, and their density is thought to be 4-5 adult tigers/100 km2 in optimal habitat.
