Climate Savers is a forum where leading companies take innovative commitments to reduce their emissions of greenhouse gases. These gases are the main contributors to one of the most serious problems the world is facing today, climate change. Our partner companies have established ambitious targets to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and already experience the benefits that Climate Savers has to offer.
By the end of 2010, the WWF Climate Savers companies will collectively have cut carbon emissions by an estimated 50 million tons since the program’s inception in 1999, an amount equivalent to the annual emissions of Switzerland. In this way, Climate Savers companies contribute to the goal of keeping global warming well below 2ºC and to the transformation of industry towards a sustainable future.
