Jean-Paul Jeanrenaud

Jean-Paul Jeanrenaud

Director, Corporate Relations

Jean-Paul joined WWF-UK in 1990. In 2000, he was appointed Head of the new Business and Industry Relations Unit at WWF International. His responsibilities include planning and leading B&I policy work for the WWF Network and developing innovative business partnerships for sustainable development.
Before assuming leadership of the B&I Unit, Jean-Paul was Head of WWF International’s Forests for Life Programme. Over the last seven years Jean-Paul has been responsible for WWF International's pioneering partnerships, helping to mainstream sustainability in business practice.

Jean-Paul is also a founding director of One Planet Living (OPL), an exciting new joint initiative with partners BioRegional. The aim of OPL is to build a worldwide network of OPL communities that demonstrate how sustainable living can be easy, attractive and affordable.

Prior to joining WWF, he spent 10 years as a forester and project manager in Asia and Africa. He holds a Master's degree in Forestry and Land Management from Oxford University, a Bachelor's degree in Development Studies from the University of East Anglia, and a Teaching Diploma from the Royal Society of Arts.

Carolina is responsible for WWF International’s range of business training programmes. This includes the flagship ‘One Planet Leaders’ - WWF’s applied sustainability programme for business managers and senior executives.

Prior to this, Carolina worked in marketing at Procter & Gamble, where she led the development of the most progressive sustainability initiative in global P&G. From this Carolina got to work hands-on with identifying and delivering on the needs and motivations of the eco-advanced consumer, including how to effectively communicate the sustainability benefit in a compelling and transparent way. She was also co-leading the team responsible for designing the first sustainability training in P&G with a focus on how to drive sustainable innovation.


In her new role at WWF, Carolina hopes to continue to drive transformative change in corporations and promote sustainable consumer behaviour.

 

Joss Tantram

Joss is Partner – Corporate Sustainability, at Terra Consult, with over 15 years experience in consultancy and NGO sectors. A specialist in sustainable corporate strategy, non-financial reporting, stakeholder engagement and a pioneer in the field of sustainability and value creation, Joss has worked in the UK and around the world.

He has worked to support the development of pragmatic, applied responses to the challenges of corporate sustainability in the financial, construction, energy and services sectors. Prior to Terra, he was with WWF-UK, where he was responsible for stimulating innovation in corporate responses to sustainability issues.

Joss is a judge for the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK Sustainability Reporting Awards, is Vice-Chair of the UK Environmental Industries Commission Sustainable Development Management Group, a member of the British Standards Institution SDS/1 Committee and a Judge of the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) Corporate Community Investment Awards.

Jimmy Branningan

Jimmy is the founding director of ESD Consulting Ltd and has worked in the environmental sector for over 20 years, helping a wide range of private and public sector organisations to integrate environmental and social considerations into business models and activities throughout the UK and Europe.

He is an established expert on the issue of skills for sustainability and uses his experience to make links between business improvement for sustainability and staff development. Jimmy has supported many organisations in taking the practical steps needed to turn policy into practical action.

Jimmy is chair of the UK programme ‘Professional Practice for Sustainable Development’ and author of many of the programme's guidance materials. He is a certified trainer and an advanced practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

Dominic Tantram

Dominic is Partner, Environment and Information, with Terra Consult.

Dr Dominic Tantram is a broad-based environmental scientist with specialist skills in environmental policy analysis and evidence development. His work has concentrated on the application and management of environmental information, management strategies, information systems and reporting.

From 1996-1998 he was a Research Fellow at University College Northampton where he worked on state of environment reporting and environmental indicator development. In 2001 he completed a PhD, at the University of Leicester, in the use information for policy and management.

Dominic has worked on a range of commercial and research projects and recently on the development and application of the ecosystem services concept.

He has worked on projects for WWF and other NGOs, the European Environment Agency, UK Government Departments and leading companies and universities.

Melissa Whybrow

Marketing and Programme Support

Melissa Whybrow has a broad range of experience across commercial roles in a number of companies, including Philips Electronics and the Association of Train Operating Companies (ATOC). Many of these roles were in marketing and product management and development.

Melissa has also spent a number of years in teaching, with posts in secondary education where she specialised in Economics and Business studies, utilising her Economics degree and further teaching qualifications.

With Terra Consult, Melissa works on commercial programme developments and links to economic theory. She recently worked on a number of projects exploring environmental valuation and the application of economic theory.

Elise Magnenat

Business Training Coordinator

Elise Magnenat holds a MA in International Relations with a specialisation in North-South issues. She has recently joined WWF to support the coordination of One Planet Leader.

Prior to this, Elise worked as a human rights officer at the International Service for Human Rights where she coordinated training courses in international human rights law and gained extensive experience in adult education and participatory training methodology.

Elise also worked as a legal assistant at the UN High Commission for Refugees and has been actively involved in fair trade associations for several years.
