What's on your plate?
Get to know your seafood
Once considered inexhaustible, our oceans are in a state of global collapse. More than 70% of the world’s commercial marine fish stocks are either fully exploited or overfished. Yet the solutions are in our hands, because the seafood you choose can determine whether tomorrow’s generations will continue to enjoy the oceans’ riches.Together with the Seafood Choices Alliance, WWF developed a methodology to assess the sustainability of seafood species. Based on this, we've created guides that tell you which seafood to enjoy and which seafood to avoid.
