Catalogue

Download

This is a promotional catalogue for Bolivian woods harvested from certified forests and subsequently processed through chain of custody in compliance with world-recognized standards as set forth by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).

The document contains summarized information regarding the most important properties and characteristics essential in promoting wood and wooden products. It also contains current contact information regarding certified forest operators.

We hope this information contributes to generating business between buyers or buyer groups and FSC certified producers. It is well worth highlighting that Bolivia is the second country worldwide with 2.2 million hectares of certified natural tropical forest, and that Santa Cruz de la Sierra was therefore declared "World Capital of Certified Natural Tropical Forests" in 2006.

This material has been elaborated by Cadefor, in collaboration with WWF, and is based on previous publications and bibliography obtained from neighboring countries that also have tropical forests with the same tree species.
